Staff
Our firm is deliberately small.
Our size translates to two benefits for our clients.
First, it allows our principals to be deeply involved
in every project we take on. Second, we have developed
close working relationships with a number of firms
that provide deep-niche expertise. This enables us to
ensure that our clients’ projects benefit from a depth
of knowledge in the particular areas where it is
needed.

He joined Johnson-Schmidt and Associates in 2005,
after spending four years in technical positions
with other firms.
Dale Chapin, CAD Draftsman, brings hands-on
experience in residential and commercial
construction to his computer drafting skills. He
earned an AAS degree in Architectural Technology
from Alfred State College as well as an AS degree in
Liberal Arts from Corning Community College. A
veteran of the U.S. Army, he earned awards as
Soldier of the Month and Quarter and later Sergeant
of the Month and Quarter and Year while stationed at
Fort Stewart, Georgia.
Eva Hofman, graduated summa cum laude from
the University of Wisconsin with a BA in
architecture. She brings with her a strong focus and
acumen for research and documentation, and well as a
breadth of experience in rehabilitation design and
restoration.
Internal and External Resources – To supplement
our internal capabilities, we also maintain strong
relationships with a carefully selected group of
external suppliers who provide services and materials
under our close supervision. These include structural,
site, mechanical, electrical, acoustical, preservation
and environmental engineers; paint microscopists;
wallpaper conservators, and others. This arrangement
enables us to bring critical specialized knowledge and
expert capabilities to our clients’ projects. It is
another manifestation of how we pay attention to
detail.
