Sorge’s Restaurant is a local landmark in Corning which has been in business for over 50 years. In December 2008, the building was gutted by fire, leaving only the existing storefront. The building was designed to accommodate the restaurant on the first floor, apartments on the second floor and the original storefront is to be restored according to historic photographs. The project is receiving NY Main Street funds, historic preservation tax credits and 444A property tax incentives, and was made an individual local historic landmark. JS&A provided full architectural services and preservation consulting for historic preservation tax credits and listing as a local historic landmark. |
