Fellows Cottage Restoration

The original Market Street Historic District included 4 blocks from Wall Street to Chestnut Street. The district was expanded in 2000 to include the north side of Market Street from Chestnut to Bridge Street. In order for this block to qualify, the historic integrity of the street had to be re-established and 8 of the 12 building facades were restored to their original configuration under the direction and design guidance of Elise Johnson-Schmidt, who also wrote the National Register Nomination.
