Steuben Churchpeople Against Poverty - Structural Condition Assessment

Steuben Churchpeople Against Poverty, a non-profit housing agency, works to reduce homelessness, violence and substandard housing and improve the quality of life for individuals in three rural New York counties. They maintain 13 buildings that serve as long- or short-term residences for people with a variety of needs. SCAP occupies the Greek Revival Hallet House in Bath, New York, for their headquarters and commissioned Johnson-Schmidt and Associates to provide a structural condition assessment as a first step toward stabilizing and restoring the building. A grant for this restoration work was recently received and will commence in the Spring of 2007.
